Jax United impone carácter en casa y derrota a Shark Coast FC

Jacksonville.- Con goles de Yeiser Rangel y Julián Aguirre, Jax United FC se impuso 2-1 a Shark Coast FC en el segundo partido de la USPL Cup Florida 2026 este sábado 7 de febrero en el Fort Family Park de Jacksonville, Florida. La victoria le da al conjunto local, Jax United, la confianza que necesitaba en este inicio de la pretemporada. 

Desde el inicio, los de Jacksonville mostraron determinación para imponer condiciones. El equipo presionó alto y buscó profundidad por las bandas. El primer gol llegó por el sector derecho: tras un desborde y un centro preciso de Diego Vélez, Yeiser Rangel apareció en el área y definió para abrir el marcador al minuto 7.

Shark Coast reaccionó en el segundo tiempo y encontró el empate al minuto 56. Adam Berntang (#9) sacó un potente disparo desde fuera del área que sorprendió al guardameta Julian Colman, quien no logró contener el remate pese a su estirada.

El empate parcial no desordenó a Jax. El equipo mantuvo la intensidad y volvió a golpear al minuto 70, cuando Julián Aguirre apareció en el momento clave, tras una habilitación de Yeiser Rangel, para devolverle la ventaja a los de Jacksonville y encaminar el triunfo definitivo por 2-1.

El próximo partido de Jax United será ante Bateria FC.

Jacksonville, Fla. - Behind goals from Yeiser Rangel and Julián Aguirre, Jax United FC secured a 2–1 victory over Shark Coast FC in the second match of the 2026 USPL Florida Cup on Saturday, February 7, at Fort Family Park in Jacksonville. The win gives the home side a needed boost of confidence as it continues its preseason campaign.

Jax United set the tone early, pressing high and attacking with width and purpose. The breakthrough came down the right flank in the 7th minute. After beating his marker and delivering a pinpoint cross, Diego Vélez found Yeiser Rangel in the box, and Rangel finished clinically to put Jax ahead 1–0.

Shark Coast responded in the second half and pulled level in the 56th minute. Adam Berntang (#9) unleashed a powerful strike from outside the penalty area that beat goalkeeper Julian Colman, who managed to get a hand to it but couldn’t keep it out.

The equalizer did not rattle Jax United. The hosts maintained their intensity and regained the lead in the 70th minute when Julián Aguirre came up clutch, restoring the advantage and sealing the 2–1 final score for the Jacksonville side.
