Behind goals from Yeiser Rangel and Julián Aguirre, Jax United FC secured a 2–1 victory over Shark Coast FC in the second match of the 2026 USPL Florida Cup on Saturday, February 7, at Fort Family Park in Jacksonville. The win gives the home side a needed boost of confidence as it continues its preseason campaign.
Jax United set the tone early, pressing high and attacking with width and purpose. The breakthrough came down the right flank in the 7th minute. After beating his marker and delivering a pinpoint cross, Diego Vélez found Yeiser Rangel in the box, and Rangel finished clinically to put Jax ahead 1–0.
Shark Coast responded in the second half and pulled level in the 56th minute. Adam Berntang (#9) unleashed a powerful strike from outside the penalty area that beat goalkeeper Julian Colman, who managed to get a hand to it but couldn’t keep it out.
The equalizer did not rattle Jax United. The hosts maintained their intensity and regained the lead in the 70th minute when Julián Aguirre came up clutch, restoring the advantage and sealing the 2–1 final score for the Jacksonville side.
